My name's Lesley and I'm the owner and founder of TU Flora. Starting a plant business was never part of my original plan, but life has a way of guiding us toward our true passions. For many years, i've dedicated my life as a teacher to educating, shaping young minds, and inspiring a love for learning. I've found immense satisfaction in teaching students Health concepts and imparting them with information to better their life. By immersing them in the benefits of physical activity and sporting excellence I could help them on a successful life pathway beyond school.

However, over time, I felt a growing pull towards my roots—literally. I could feel a deep desire to reconnect with the earth and the simple pleasures of my childhood. Since my earlierst childhood i've always been surrounded by plants. My parents are hardworking farmers, and my grandparents on both sides were passionate gardeners. I have many memories of the times I would be helping my parents on the farm, learning how to divide and propagate plants, make jam and bake with my grandma, learning all the tricks to look after my pops worm farm, tending to his vegetable patch or being paid 1cent by him per prickle weed i would pick from his large suburban yard. I believe it was in these moments that I learnt the secrets of gardening basics and started my flora journey. 

Through these experiences a deep connection to nature has always been a big part of my life that has defined me as a person. Over the years I've come to realize that not only does gardening itself bring me profound peace and fulfillment, but by sharing my passion to help others start their plant journey, by teaching and guiding them along the way, that I have found my true joy in life. I can combine my educational skills with my love for nature, creating a business that not only sells plants but also educates and inspires others to cultivate their own green spaces and the deep satisfaction that comes with it.

Thus,my plant business TU Flora was born, a beautiful fusion of my past and present. It’s more than just an online store; it’s a community dedicated to sharing the benefits of gardening whilst experiencing the joy of enhancing your environment and enriching your life through plants. The products and services I offer are a tribute to my parents' dedication, my grandparents' wisdom, and my journey from the classroom to the garden.
